Turkey

I'll try to start posting pictures of Turkey tomorrow. I had a pretty amazing time and it was a unique nine days. I don't know if I'll have another like it, at least not anytime soon. Great food, great hospitatlity, and great company. It was a pretty wonderful time. So much so that it sucks to be back at work.

For the first time I escaped the hotel, bar, mall scene and took a walk in Old Dubai. There was some charm there. Some. Posted by Picasa

Bird's Eye View

The following pictures are shot from the helicopter going and coming from Taji. I asked the pilot to leave the door open on the way out Taji so I lucked out, sat on the end and took some good pics. The door was shut on the way back so I had to shoot through the window. I was in the air for about forty five minutes though and that was fun.

It's only pictures but it's the only way I get to see Iraq. We fly low and fast so the pictures aren't the best but hopefully it's a view you haven't had before.

I don't know if people live here or not but if they do it's obviously harsh conditions. Posted by Picasa
