Back in the USA
Different attitude back in the states than in Iraq I guess. There really isn't any visible reminders that we're in Iraq beyone the thirty second spot on the news about the last suicide bomber. There's a lack of engagement but I don't how people would be more engaged. The news sucks.
I did see the movie Pulled From the Rubble last night. The story revolves around a UN representative who was the only survivor of the bomb attack on the UN in Baghdad in August 2003. He is now a double amputee. His daughter made the film about his recovery and how the family dealt with the situation. She conducted a q and a session after the movie. Great stuff. Too bad I was snoozy.
