Normal people fight wars
Not just soldiers and contractors, though that's all that's here. I don't expect a mass of American humanity to come to Baghdad International Airport but it would be nice if the country would be involved. I suppose it's obvious that I don't think the majority of people really give a shit. Yeah, we support the troops, we watch the nightly news and pay our fucking taxes. Oh, okay. Well, you still suck.
You aren't paying higher taxes, the more expensive oil you fill up your car with is not related to this war, sorry to say. Hollywood doesn't even come here. It's sixteen hour flight people. They serve red wine and jack on the plane. It's not difficult.
So you think the war sucks and the president who put us here sucks as well. Understood. No matter, we're here, and if you haven't noticed there's some work to be done. Stop whining, stop relying on your government and do something beside bitch. Like get off your ass. Eighteen year old kids from towns with populations of 1,500 are dying, as are kids from LA, Chicago and Miami. They sang sad songs about those kids last night. It was a talent show, and that's what we listened to. Kids signing songs about other kids dying in Iraq. Dying recently.
We've got two countries, Iraq and Afghanistan, that need rebuilding, and another, Pakistan that needs blown to shit. I'm not advocating blowing Pakistan to shit but I am saying there's a lot of work to do and we're not getting it done. So, I guess, that's my point.
