How is it over there?
People seem to be asking me that a lot. That and what's the attitude like. My reply is that it's the same as it's ever been. There's a situation at hand and we deal with it. That's the people I deal with. I can't speak for soldiers but they're folks that follow orders. Opinions aren't so much appreciated.
I think it's odd and somewhat foolish how political the war has become at home. It seems every reaction is a knee jerk political reaction. Why are we not discussing a troop increase? Not that I'm advocating but given that things aren't going so swimmingly it might be nice to at least kick a couple ideas around. It may lead to the oddball thought that may just win this war.
Come on now, I don't want to be here forever.
